Trauma Flight marked a new chapter for Custom Helicopters with the launch of its dedicated helicopter emergency medical service. We were tasked with creating a brand film that introduced the service while communicating the ability to reach patients quickly, safely, and wherever they are needed most. Rather than producing a technical overview, the film was designed to capture the urgency, professionalism, and human impact behind every mission.

The Challenge

Emergency response is built on trust.

The challenge was to communicate the speed, capability, and readiness of Trauma Flight without relying on dramatic reenactments or sensationalism. The goal was to reinforce the confidence that patients, healthcare providers, and communities place in the crews who operate these aircraft every day, while also showing off what new capabilities this aircraft has to offer.

The VISION

The objective was to create a brand film that showcased more than a helicopter.

By combining cinematic aerial imagery with authentic operational moments, the story focused on Trauma Flight’s commitment to delivering advanced medical care across Manitoba. The video positions the aircraft as an extension of the highly trained professionals behind every mission, prepared to respond whenever and wherever they are needed.

Rather than exaggerating the work being done, we focused on the professionalism, preparation, and precision that define every Trauma Flight mission. This approach allowed the film to communicate confidence through realism while honouring the people behind the operation.

Before production, we worked to understand how Trauma Flight operates, identifying the capabilities and moments that best represented the service. This allowed us to build a story around purpose instead of equipment.

Cinematic Access

By capturing the aircraft both in flight and on the ground, we combined sweeping aerial visuals with intimate operational details to showcase the scale, speed, and readiness of the fleet.

While the helicopter is central to the film, the story ultimately belongs to the professionals who operate it. Every creative decision was made to reinforce the trust, expertise, and dedication required to provide life-saving care across Manitoba.

THE RESULTS

The completed brand film introduced Trauma Flight as a premium helicopter emergency medical service while reinforcing Custom Helicopters’ reputation for safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.

More than a promotional video, the film became a visual representation of an organization whose mission is to ensure critical care can reach patients—regardless of location or circumstance.
